THE PEOPLE SPEAK : THE ART OF RESISTANCE
The People Speak is my personal and ongoing project carried on in London since 2016 and motivated by what I considered to be the history changing events unfolding in front of me.
Coming from an oppressed background, where hatred and racism were experienced on a daily basics and it was considered to be somehow ‘normal’; I was moved and inspired by people’s responses to those events. I felt like it was a call to action to me.
Since then, I was capturing people’s emotions and reactions to those situations in the streets of London.
Resisting, organising, marching, protesting and expressing themselves: The People Speak is a tribute and an attempt to document the voices of those who are fighting for a better tomorrow.
